Christmas Program 2011

Below are some dates for your diary for this festive season

Saturday 3rd December

11am-3pm Christmas is coming

This Saturday we have ‘Christmas is coming’ a craft and shopping event. Lots of work has went into this event from the women at Riverside, well done to you all!! After church Sunday they spent hours finishing and perfecting crafts and setting up the room to be ready for the Christmas season (we men fixed the projector and made coffee J). This event is in aid of ‘The freedom project’ which helps to free women and children who have been trafficked in the sex industry across India, Thailand and Cambodia, you can find out more at

Saturday 10th December

2pm-6pm Get in the picture

Churches together are running a fantastic outreach through get in the picture, a nativity scene will be set up at the clock tower, people can then get a photo taken in the nativity and go to the CT webpage to download this. It is a great way to keep Jesus at the center of Christmas and to reach out to our town.

7pm Christmas dinner

In the evening we will celebrate together with our Christmas meal at the Fish and Eels, if you haven’t booked yet please contact Aideen and we will arrange you to be booked in.

Sunday 18th December

11am Family service

The RIVERkids and Little Fishes will run our Christmas family service, the kids are putting lots of work into this so please come along and support and invite friend and family along.

7pm Carols by candlelight

In the evening we will host our ‘Carols by candlelight’ with Andrew Castle preaching. This is a great celebration of Jesus birth and a great chance to invite family and friends, after the service we will serve lots of Christmas food.

25th December

10.30am Christmas morning

Christmas morning we will gather for 30minutes to celebrate Christmas together and let the kids show off their presents.
