Riverside is a vibrant growing church that seeks to help people have a life changing encounter with Jesus. We believe that Father God loves every single person and desires them to come to Him and live in full and abundant life with Him and that is why Jesus came to connect an orphaned world back to God the Father. Through the Holy Spirit we continue to know God's presence, power and revelation as he changes and transform us to be like Him.

Jesus came preaching the kingdom of God is at hand and this is a theme His disciples carried on after He ascended to heaven. The Kingdom of God is a phrase you will hear used at Riverside because that was Jesus primary message. That He had came to restore God's rule and bring an end to sin and evil, to bring justice and end oppression, to bring healing and end suffering, essentially to release heaven upon earth. This is the big story we preach and believe and what we seek as a church.

Riverside is part of a larger movement called the Elim Pentecostal churches. Elim is a movement of churches numbering 600 in the UK and Ireland which began almost 100 years ago under George Jefferys who preached Jesus as Saviour, Healer, Baptiser in the Holy Spirit and Coming King, a message we still hold to today.

Like every organization we have a mission statement that summaries what we do, Riverside's mission is:

"Riverside exists to extend God's kingdom by: seeking the manifest presence and power of the triune God, by making kingdom minded disciples who follow Jesus in the 21st century and by living as a community of missionaries with revival at its heart."
